This is a very good idea - I think it's only a matter of time before we see this or similar products.

MFDBs have shown that moire is not a major issue for high resolution sensors, hopefully the M9 will go further to highlighting this and we can have an end to AA filters in dslrs.

This is supposedly a CCD, not an Exmor CMOS sensor like all recent high end Sony DSLR sensors. Sony is definitely still making Super HAD CCD's for phones, digicams, security cameras and videocams, and CCD's might even have some advantages for video (less or no jello effect?). But in 24x36mm format it is surprising; 35MP seems a bit too much for video. I am not completely ruling it out though.

Do some security cameras have a use for such a high detail sensor?

Depends whether you like that aliased look -- false detail from frequencies beyond Nyquist.  It does give a certain amount of sparkly "pop" to some images which some people like.  Then again, many people like their images oversaturated.

And it also supposed to be going into a digital Ikon - alledged and I have no reliable source - which would put the cat amongst the pigeons. Of course, if any lenses are going to resolve enough to give aliasing on such a sensor the ZM and Leica rf lenses are likely to be at the top of the heap. Imagine what it will lmake of a picket fecne using the Biogon 25 2.8:)

Oh yes, this is wishful thinking!
