Hi Lisa,
Thanks for the link! I'm not going to add it because I got better results in my own tests, which I'm still investigating. Perhaps I add it later on when my evaluation is done.
My own evaluation is here: http://83.177.178.241/ekr/index.php/photoa...-sony-alpha-900
but it is still in progress.
Is that link coming from you?
Best regards
Erik
The scanner is a limiting factor. A drum scanner would reveal more information but also emphasise grain.
Having shot 67 using both a Bronica GS and a Mamiya 7 rangefinder and now owning a Sony A900, as well as a Mamiya ZD, my assessment is that for all practical purposes, the A900 is as good as 67 film even when drum scanned. If you like the look and accutance of grain, then just scale up the Sony image and add some slight film grain in Photoshop.
I have not quite ditched the idea of shooting with large format film again sometime in the future, but nothing smaller. Medium format film is now history for me.
