Sinar Emotion 75
« on: September 14, 2009, 12:23:35 pm »

Today I got my new Sinar Emotion 75.
The test-files I got from Sinar could easily be imported into Capture one.

When I tried it now with the files directly from the back it did not work.
How can this be done? (I guess it´s still dng-files coming out of the back?)

Can anybody help me please?

Henrik

The native file format for files captured in the back is .IA and not DNG. DNG is the format used for tethered capture when using eXposure.

You can import the .IA files into eXposure and they will automatically be converted to DNG. Hope that helps.

Ok, thanks a lot. So I have to use Exposure and not CaptureShop to get the dng-files?
Do I just export the files and leave them as they are and then import them into Capture one?

Yes, only eXposure creates DNG files while importing them from the back internal memory, from the CF card or when tethered.

These DNGs will be saved wherever you have chosen: from there you can use them in whatever DNG compatible application, e.g. CaptureOne.

Best regards,
Thierry

Thanks a lot!
Does this also mean I can use the back tethered with Capture one?

No, you can't. Only with eXposure. Among others, it would need a driver to be written by PO in their CaptureOne for this to be possible.

Best regards,
Thierry
