Canon 5D2 Live View histogram
« on: August 31, 2009, 12:00:44 pm »

On my Canon 5D2, there is over 2 EVs difference between the live view histogram and the playback histogram/highlight clipping warning. If I expose to the right, based on the live view histogram, the resulting image is over 2 EVs overexposed according to the playback histogram (and Raw Developer, and visually). Is there anything I can have overlooked, any preset or so? Exposure compensation is set to zero. The problem is the same in both aRGB and sRGB.

By the way, is there supposed to be a highlight clipping alert in Live View? There is none now, and I think there was, but my memory may fail me on this one.

Thank you for your answers.
