The price for the Epson 9900 was quoted as low as $5395.00 several weeks ago. I heard a new discount was coming out so I decided to wait. The $1,000 rebate was made official several days ago and I see they moved the base price back to the origional price of $5995. Whats with that? Don't they think we consumers are watching this stuff? Before I over react I will call my dealer and get his exact price but it sounds like the $5395 number is gone. Just to add, the previous rebate was $500. It may very well be the case that the lower price quoted would have been with the $500 rebate allready substracted from the base price. Then this all makes sense.
