Cambo SF (Super Field) System 4x5 --> 2x3
« on: August 23, 2009, 02:09:26 pm »

Excellent condition Cambo SF, modular view camera system I'm selling this bundled as a complete system ...instead of as parts for now.

Includes:
14" rail (same as used for Cambo Master, Legend, and Ultima systems), 2x3 (6x9cm) standards, with a ground glass focusing Graflok-style back (does not spring open for holders), a magnifying hood (w ground glass), 6x7 Horseman roll film back, a standard 2x3 bellows, a 2x3 bag bellows,  2 flat lens boards (Copal 1 holes), and a Polaroid pack film back. Also included is a 4x5 frame which adapts he camera to 4x5 (film and backs), a tapered standard bellows (24-25"), a bag bellows, and a 10 inch extension rail.

In the 22 photos you'll see this system, but with a slight twist. I used the 4x5 frame reversed to the front to allow for my other (larger) Cambo boards to be used with the 2x3 back. This allows for a multitude of lens opportunities when there are already lenses mounted on 4x5 Cambo lens boards. (sorry for the lens porn, but I felt the need to demonstrate how cool and flexible this system can be).
This is the ideal companion to an existing Cambo system if you are wanting to move to using digital backs. I also mounted a 4x5 sliding adapter with a Mamiya Leaf Valeo back onto this system since is has near zero space between the front and rear standards. It's a MUCH cheaper entry to a digital view camera system than the Ultima, albeit not as precise as it lacks geared drive, but the movements are still outstanding and tight.

So for now I'm selling the 'jewel' of my Cambo system -- the 2x3 -- 4x5 Cambo SF.
Complete system package $800 (over $900 as individual parts in my previous attempt to sell this)

FYI, I'm also selling an 8x10 Legend with a 4x5 reducing (and revolving) back,a compendium bellows lenshade, a Legend 4x5 standard, a 26" rail, a Cambo to Linhof lens board adapter, and a Cambo to Graphic lens board adapter. I'll make somebody a heck of a deal if they want EVERYTHING. It took me years to asssemble this system (the 2x3 cameras are VERY scarce), it can be yours in an instant.
