FS: Canon EOS 5D $900 with extras
« on: August 22, 2009, 11:58:14 am »

SOLD.

Finally selling my trusty Canon EOS 5D, which I bought new in Autumn 2005. Still in great working condition, though it has the usual minor external wear & tear that comes from using it for outdoor nature photography over the past few years.

I have the original box, manual, etc.

No lens included.

Extras included in the price: RRS L-bracket, additional Canon battery.

Asking $900, including PayPal fees and shipping via Priority Mail anywhere in the continental USA. PayPal only.

If interested, please email me directly at madmanchan2000@yahoo.com. (Do not send a PM -- it will likely be ignored.)

I read your post very carefully and there's no info regarding the # of clicks.

And are there photos available that shows the "wear and tear'?

Thanks

No problem, ricm.

Approximately 54,000 clicks.

I will post some photos here in a moment.

Here are some pictures:

You can see some slight rub/scuff marks around the exterior, some marks around the hot shoe (works fine, though), etc.

There are also some minor scratches on the L-plate itself (not the camera body), but these do not impair functionality.

Hope this helps.

Eric

How about an actual shutter count? With the proliferation of programs that now show this, 'approximate' doesn't cut it and always seems to be waaay off.

How about 54,009?  I hope you find this number more satisfactory and useful to your evaluation than the 54,000 number that I originally posted.

I'm in Europe, so not in the market. Sorry to hijack your FS post, but can you recommend a program for Mac which can check shutter actuations on 5D/5D Mark II?

The 5D package is now sold.

Mike, unfortunately I am not familiar with publicly-available Mac software that can check the number of shutter clicks. Sorry.

Just a tip of the cap to Eric- I just bought his 5D - arrived w/o charger and after realizing it couldn't be located he ordered a new one from B&H shipped direct.
It's transactions like this that make LL a great place to visit and do business. Thanks again
