My 3d animator buddy has just posted this video on his website - showing that a great PANO can be created even with the simplest of cameras.

Please note that this method is not the one that my friend that has this website uses for his high end panos and HDR's. For those he uses a special calibrated head with his Nikon D200.

This video was just a "how-to" that he put together to show that a point and shoot and a simple angle bracket from the hardware store could be used pretty effectively - and how effortless it was even for his wife Natalie to do.

He has just produced an awesome picture book called  "Broken Palace" of all of the Pano nodes from an old factory that are flattened out for a surreal elegance. I have run my fingers through the pages and it looks so good.

Here is a video showing his new Broken Palace Book:

A $4 garage sale plastic tripod with a flip-up base works too!  Took about 10 minutes to build.
