Contact sheets from digital...
« on: August 11, 2009, 03:05:23 pm »

Hello, maybe you have some tips to help me...

I want to create contact sheets, in an image form, one page at a time, from a batch of files...

I'm doing this to build pages in a proof book, so that's why the new pdf and web output in Bridge won't help. I can't send out a multi-page pdf. The old ContactSheet II won't install as a for me in Bridge cs4, but I just tried it in Photoshop and it's a little more clunky than I remembered. For one thing, horizontals and verticals are different sizes.

I'd like to have control over the number of rows and columns on each page, and I'd like all images to be the same size regardless of horizontal or vertical. I'm not super picky about what format is output as long as it's one reliable image per page of thumbnails...

Any tips out there? I'd like this to ultimately be a pretty automated process so I don't spend too much time on it in the future.

Thanks!
Peter

If you are on a Mac, Image Buddy does a nice job, and it's cheap.
