Mounting camera and laptop on a tripod
« on: August 07, 2009, 08:32:33 pm »

I cannot for the life of me find anyone who sells an arm with clamps, ect where you can mount a camera and a 17 inch mac laptop on a Gitzo Tripod and RRS ball head.
Seems the 17 inch is a problem size wise.
Any ideas would be appreciated

Not sure if the 17-inch will fit on this:
Gitzo Monitor platform

and then there is this:
Manfrotto 131DD Tripod Accessory Arm

I have seen this in use with a laptop on the above platform, and then the camera at the other end.

The Manfrotto Arm works well but you can see a lot of different options at Tether Tools.  I bought some stuff recently from them based on a discussion happening in another forum on topic.  Really well built and sturdy.

The DigiPlate will support a 17" laptop: http://kck.st/Jn8ZUD

Use it in conjunction with a Manfrotto Magic Arm: http://bhpho.to/JjSsO4

with a Super Clamp to your tripod leg: http://bhpho.to/Kdogc1
