Schneider Electronic Shutter on Leaf Aptus 75S

Does anyone have experience using an Aptus 75S with the Schneider electronic shutter?

I have the shutter which I originally bought in a configuration for a Sinar back. The connections to the back from the shutter seem to be the same except that there is a different connection for the signal cable. The Sinar uses a fine Lemo connector, whereas the Leaf uses a 2mm jack plug. The other cable connecting to the back is a 4 pin Lemo connector which matches the receptor on the Aptus.  I have replaced the first Lemo connector with a 2mm jack plug to fit the Leaf.

When I launch LC11.4 and go to connect to camera, I get the warning " The Schneider eShutter is turned off, not connected, or has a faulty cable. Check the eShutter and cables ...."

Any suggestions? Can anyone confirm that the electronic shutter works with the Aptus 75S?

Xin, The Electronic shutter cable connects to 2 connections in the Aptus. One is a 4 pin Lemo, the other is a 2mm single pin plug, the one that you use to connect from the lens to the back when non-electronic usual type of view camera shutter.

Leaf uses a 2mm jack plug.  

Leaf uses a 4-pin Leomo connector too!

It does work but it requires the proper cable from Leaf; you won't be able to use the Sinar cable. The Leaf cable is a sort of a Y cable connecting both Aptus connections to the SES.

Chris, does the Leaf cable need the use of the Schneider USB adapter? ( http://www.schneiderkreuznach.com/foto_e/z...oer_digital.htm ) , or is it a simple cable set up with the lens functions controlled from Leaf Capture?

It does use the standard Schneider controller, not the USB unit. I'm not completely sure if the USB controller can be used to power the shutter as well. The lens settings are set in Leaf Capture.
