Shameless self promotion here: We have just set the dates for our very popular Capture One Online Training classes.
September 15: Intro to Capture One
September 22: Transitioning from C1 3.7
September 29: Masters Level
It's a great way to learn. Class size is small enough to allow everyone to ask questions and get clarification. Attendees and I are on a conference call for voice and in a screen sharing application for video (everyone sees my screen as I work with Capture One). I am very frank about the advantages and disadvantages of the program and focus on practical usage rather than "marketing speak".
It is open to anyone who has an internet connection, a credit card, and can speak English well enough to understand what I am saying.
If you first tried Capture One 4 in it's early days I will be the first to say that it sucked at that point. 4.7.x was a big improvement and 4.8.x is just plain good. 4.8.1 is a very fast, very stable raw processor with excellent image quality, great workflow tools, and a good variety of features.
If you've never used C1 4 before, do yourself a favor and download the free
trial and compare a conversion of your raw to Photoshop, LightRoom, or Aperture.
