I have a revision of 'Ruins and Stormclouds' that's a little less crunchy, I think I may have went a little overboard with the local contrast first time around:

Now I like it even more.

Misirlou - Interesting insights, thanks for sharing. If you have some tips on other locations I'd like to hear them. Chaco Canyon will probably be a stop for me next time I'm up that way (which probably won't be long since Bisti has become sort of a project for me and I'll be making more return trips up that way).

John - Thanks. I think this one's a little more natural looking. Sometimes when working on a file for a while (or working on a whole bunch of files) I can get 'desensized' and overdo it a bit. I've found that coming back with fresh eyes to reevaluate can be a good idea.
