Shooting tethered
« on: July 17, 2009, 12:42:01 pm »

I watched Michael and Jeff's video on tethered shooting. I have LR 2.4 on a PC and the EOS utility. I set up auto import to my watched folder "tethered" with a sub folder "auto import". When I take a shot the "Import" dialog screen appears. If I click on import a message appears but the image doesn't appear; if I click on cancel the image will appear and is copied to the auto import folder. However, the video shows the image appearing in LR without the "Import" screen appearing. I have played around with settings in the preference tab for import and different settings in the import screen. Somehow I am missing the correct sequence of settings. Any help would be appreciated.

Found the problem. In the EOS utility the "linked software" must be set to "none". I had it linked to lightroom.exe.
