I have installed the 16 bit plugin and printed with it and no change i should be in contact more with Canon today hopefully tey can help.

I would double check to make sure that the issue isn't with your display or with the calibration/profile of your display. Perform a soft proof of a known evaluation image, like the one over at Scott's web site:

Another good target to use is Bill Atkinson's 28 balls evaluation image. It was designed for printing, but it can also help if you are experiencing display issues.

Even though you mention that your other printers are working fine, it is still a good exercise to isolate the variables.
