My brother is getting married in Saarijarvi in Finland on 11 July. Despite protestations that weddings are best left to professionals, I'm in charge of photography. I'll be shooting film so could really use some pointers as to what films I should be taking. My current stock is Neopan 400 simply because it's so cheap at the mo - I'm paying £1.20 a roll or so. I use Plus X as a slow film (but live in Britain and rarely need it!) Tri X is my preferred medium speed film and I prefer it for heavy pushing too - at 6400 it's much better than Delta 3200. I will be testing Neopan 400 pushed off the earth next weekend (no spools with me at the mo!)
I will be shooting from approx 11am through until the next day using a Leica with 35mm lens and a Yashicamat. I understand that far north, it doesn't really get dark - given this, if Neopan does not work out for pushing, do I need to worry about a 1600+ film? Similarly, Is there much point in taking out a slower film?
Many thanks
Charly
