hoo is watching?

Turned around in the woods last month, and this fella was perched there checking me out. Had to crop quite a bit with the 24-70.

While most good bird shots close in much more, this one has a pleasing composition and gives the feel of the environment quite nicely.  I think it works.

Being very nocturnal, it's quite an accomplishment getting this good of an image of an owl free-standing like that.
