Nec Spectraview not saving the ICC profile
« on: June 11, 2009, 03:08:36 pm »

On version 1.1 and now on version 1.1.02 Spectraview II runs through the entire calibration procedure and then says it is unable to save the ICC profile. So I have to use an older profile. Does anyone know what is going on?

Vista 64, NEC 2690SV series one.

That's only ever happened to me when I've been calibrating IT-department-administered computers which have some access privileges restricted.

Can you access the Profiles folder yourself?

(Just clutching at straws here)

Happens to me when I have Firefox open, profile will not save. Close firefox and run again, all is good. Suspect it may be because Firefox is using colour management.

Thanks so much for this suggestion. I don't think I had Firefox open when I calibrated. But I just succeeded by disabling the color management in Firefox, made sure Firefox was closed, then re-calibrated and it saved the profile.
