Eyelike Precision M22 digital back 22MP digital back with 1-shot, 1-shot+(hardware antimoiré), 4-shot(true color) and 16-shot.
Works in single-shot and 4-shot for a 122MB file and 16-shot for a 489MB file in 16 bit!

This digital back retailed New for roughly $30,000 in 2005. This back is in very good condition, only gentle usage and stored in case most of it's life. In very good working order, owned and operated by one professional photographer and used to shoot countless images for magazine covers and national ads. The rock-solid Capture Pro 4.3.5.3 software works great on current Mac OSX Version 10.5.7. I currently shoot with this digital back tethered to a new 24" iMac with 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor and 2GB of memory and swap the digital back back and forth between a Mamiya 645AF system and a Toyo view-camera system using the Hasselblad mount. The connecting hardware can be swapped in about two minutes on digital back from Mamiya 645AF mount to Hasselblad mount.

This is an excellent digital back that produces top-notch digital files. It has a reputation as being an incredibly reliable digital back.  Jenoptik purchased Sinar a couple years ago, so tech support and replacement parts and service are available thru Sinar. The firewire cord included with the back as well as the back-up cords were ordered thru Sinar in 2007.

Included with the M22 digital back: Instruction manual for M22 and Capture One Pro software , calibration grid , CD with Capture One Pro version 4.3.5.3 software and files for digital back , 10-meter firewire cord , connecting cords for use with Mamiya 645AF and a duplicate back-up cord , cords for use with Hasselblad 555 or 553 and a duplicate back-up cord , flash sync cord , connecting hardware for Mamiya 645AF , connecting hardware for Hasselblad , two sets of extra mounting screws , cleaning fluid for sensor , mounting tool , sensor cover , aluminum shipping case.

The M22's features are:
1. Designed for different shot modes, the black Eyelike precision M 22 has 1, 1+, 4-shot and 16-shot capability with file sizes from 122MB (16-bit) in 1-shot, 1-shot+ (hardware antimoiré) and 4-shot (true color) and 489MB in ultra-high-resolution 16-shot mode (16-bit). Great for jewelry and product work, where you need a lot of depth of field and large file sizes!
2. Hardware based anti-moire 1-shot Plus mode gets rid of most moire in single shot mode.
3. Built in Live Image lets you focus on the monitor screen, and there's a button to have upto three focus points displayed, one at a time. This lets you see the effect of tilts and swings easily.
4. Peltier based cooling.
5. Rock-solid Capture Pro 4.3.5.3 software.
6. 6-pin Firewire connection to Mac only. This digital back must be "tethered" to a computer via firewire cable.
7. With the Schneider or Rollei electronic shutters, the back can be controlled directly from the computer, essential for multi-shot mode to reduce vibration.
8. The M22 back is unique in it's ability to capture extremely long exposures without any "noise". Unlike most other digital backs, the M22 can capture at shutter speeds of up to 32 seconds, making it ideal for the long exposures required for interiors photography.
9. With the flexible adapter solution, the Eyelike™ precision M22 is compatible with many medium format cameras, but also adaptable with all common viewfinder cameras. Connection plates for Mamiya 645AF and Hasselblad (500C, 555ELD, 553 ELX, 503 CW, 501 CM, 903 SWC).
10. The sensor's active area of 48 x 36 mm almost exactly corresponds to medium-format size.

Shot modes of Eyelike precision M22 digital back :

Moving motifs (1-shot/1-shot-plus mode)-
1-shot and 1-shot-plus mode provide excellent image quality for moving objects. Image files up to a size of 122 MB can be created with one shot. As opposed to 1-shot mode, the "1-shotplus" involves proven antimoiré hardware operation that allows photographers to single out moiré effects already when taking a picture. This saves costly retouching work, especially with people and fashion shots.

True color (4-shot mode)-
4-shot mode, same as 1-shot and 1-shot-plus modes, outputs a 122 MB image file, but in full colour resolution! In contrast to 1-shot, 4-shot mode does not require the colours of individual pixels to be interpolated from neighbouring pixels. They are physically recorded via four individual shots instead. This technology makes it possible to exclude colour moiré effects from the very beginning. Especially where wall-to-wall carpeting with fine patterns has to be photographed, this function helps you produce fast shots with outstanding quality.

Greater resolution (16-shot mode)-
Besides providing full colour resolution, the 16-shot mode also features a higher spatial resolution than 1-shot and 4-shot modes. More details and finer structures can thus be recorded. 16-shot mode creates image files up to a size of 489 MB.
