I've been a bit held up by weather and 'real paying work' in testing my new TS-E17 - I took the chance to finish writing up a short article on focusing when using tilt.
Using tilt on a lensIt's got copies of the tilt tables I keep in my bag and the spreadsheet used to create them (inspired by Harold Merklinger's work)
I've noticed that while a lot of people grasp using shift quite easily, the concept of tilting the lens leaves a lot of people just hoping for the best, and twiddling lens settings.
This is the way I generally approach using tilt (as ever, there are others) but I'm hoping the article and examples help clarify the subject for a few more people...
One of my experimental set-ups - carried out when left alone in the house ;-)
