Comparison of Canon 15mm Fisheye and Sigma 15mm Fisheye
« on: June 08, 2009, 08:51:36 am »

Has anyone tried these two lenses.

I have the possibility of an assignment that may require the use of Fisheye lenses over several months, and it makes economical sense to purchase rather than hire

I can hire the Canon to try it, but not the Sigma. Has anyone compared the two lenses or has experience of the Sigma

Thanks

I'm a Nikon guy, so I can't say anything about the Canon,  but I've had the Sigma for several years and it's exceeded my expectations. I bought it as a temporary answer to the need for wide angle on my APS body, but I still haven't found any reason to replace it.

Construction is sound, sharpness very good, and chromatic aberration, moderate as it is, is easily controllable.
