LR bulk renaming bug
« on: May 29, 2009, 12:00:35 pm »

I have noticed this bug past many versions & always thought that this would be sorted out.
I am on x64 version & not sure if x86 version also does so.

I rename 6 file set & while doing so correctly LR starts giving error randomly, Cant rename file

set 1 renamed fine
set 2 renamed fine
set 3 renamed fine
set 4 renamed fine
set 5 only 1 image renamed & rest of the images wont be renamed,
I then have to select 1-1 to do that

I am not able to understand if I am doing something wrong or is it a non reported bug with LR.
Can someone test?

Had  similar problem back with version 1.x. Can't remember the exact version.

I found that changing the number sequence helped. Rather than name everything from 001, I changed it to 101, 201 etc. The problem only seemed to occur with renaming more than 3 sets of files. Once renamed with the numerical sequence 101 etc, I could then renumber from 001 without too much problem. Not had the problem for some time, and I think it was cured with LR 2, but can't honestly remember.

Maybe not to much help but I can't think of anything else
