Z3200 profiling question

Is it necessary/wise/better to create separate profiles for different widths of the same paper,  should i create a separate profile for crane museo silver rag 17" and 44" rolls? that seems unnecessary but i remember someone telling me to do so.

Wow.  If it is necessary, I must have screwed up a lot of prints and never realized it.  That's the first I've ever heard of that concept.  Have any idea what the logic might be behind it?

Calibration for different paper batches could be a good idea if the paper manufacturer has more tolerance between batches.
Like it is a good idea to do a calibration before an important, big job.
Different sizes could mean different batches.
If calibration isn't enough you better find a consistent paper, profiling for different batches shouldn't be necessary.
