Rollei SL, Rollei SLe - digital back adaptation
« on: May 24, 2009, 06:48:10 am »

Does anyone know what feature was added to the ROLLEI SL, with the SL"E" version?

Mainly, I am interested in knowing is this very versatile camera can be adapted to utilize the SINAR eMotion 75LV back?  The tilt and shift features, PLUS the ability to focus the image without a sliding adapter seem interesting.

Hello,

This camera was discontinued many years ago. When it was introduced, it added a built in exposure meter to the SL66. I seriously doubt that anyone makes an adapter of any kind for it. It has no shift, only lens tilt. It is a great unit and I still my use lenses from this camera for astrophotography but replaced the camera with a 6008AF when parts became difficult to get and expensive. I have still an SL66SE in working order - a delight to hold and use and nothing has ever replaced it - a light, easy to use camera with lens tilt.

Hi, i had a sl66, first model modified to accept hasselblad V back's.it was completely destroyed for use with film back's but worked perfctly with the digital back. However, lenses were not that good in film days and certainly not usuable with digital. It was fun to use but i sold it because lens performance was at "holga" level.
