Capture 1 and Lightroom workflow
« on: May 18, 2009, 09:26:34 pm »

Michael,

I've been struggling trying to find the best way to handle my Phase One files, starting in C1 and moving to lightroom.  Thank you for the solution!  I have a couple of questions:

You say "In Lightroom I set up an Auto Import folder and then set Capture One to export to this folder. A single click on the process button in C1 and these TIFF shows up a few seconds later in Lightroom."  What are you doing for the destination folder?  Do you manually set a new destination folder for each download or does it all get dumped into one huge folder?  I'm just wondering how to organize the processed TIFF's as they go through Lightroom.

Also, C1 creates lots of cache and settings files.  Do you delete those once the processed files are in lightroom?

And lastly, thanks again for arranging the Antarctica trip!

I have one watched for exports and then these are sucked into LR's active folder.

At $100 / Terabyte I don't give a thought to file build-up anymore.
