Henrik,
to all asking me, I have always said and still say that the Sinarback 54 H does wonders: it is one of the most fantastic back, IMO equal to 8x10" film in multishot mode concerning resolution of details (with the Digital HR lenses), but with also IMO much more tonal values, better transitions and better modularity.
But as said Dustback, stability is critical for optimum results: better having the studio on the groundfloor, better not having a road passing near by, better having a very stable stand, better not using AC while shooting, etc ...
Enjoy it.
Best regards,
Thierry
Yes. I have tried everything from the best scanning-backs to the new Phase sensor. None of them even come close to what I see now from my first tests with the 54H.
And still I am only using a small tripod and normal light in my house.
I am very much looking forward to testing it in the studio next week.
I have always heard people tell me how much extra problems this makes and that it is almost impossible to keep it steady. That is not true at all.
This is just amazing !!!!
Henrik
