« on: May 12, 2009, 10:43:52 am »

I there,
I´m thinking in baying a Leaf 65s, is this back with a Mamiya 645 AFD III and a 80mm worth 8400€?
Do you think is a good investment for the money spend? Is to work in studio an in exterior.
Thanks

Hi,
For the studio I absolulty love the Leaf backs.
As long as you can stay within ISO100/200 or lower I think they are hard to beat for skin tones.
But make sure for conversion to TIFF16bits use the Leaf software for best results, I don't really like what ACR is doing with the files.

If you want to shoot higher I would advise the Canon 5DMKII, I'm using that one as backup or for those situations where I need a DSLR.

The tethered software is very good, and very stable, plus you can show the shots on your iPhone or iPod touch while shooting.

Hope this helps a bit.

I think thats a great buy. Here in the USA, we have a tremendous promotion where someone can buy the Mamiya DL28 (Mamiya AFD III w/80mm digital lens, and Leaf Aptus II-6) for $14,995.00. You also get a FREE either 55mm, or 150mm lens at N/C.

I've tried many digital systems, and still think the Leaf is the best on the market.
