I have the 4800, but from what I have read the two main differences are the improved print head and the use of the Vivid(and Light)Magenta inks which are suppose to deliver better color. Other than those two items, I'm happy with my 4800 and was bought almost a year before the 4880 came out and have not had any real problems with it.

Excellent! You are correct! However You will not find a 4800 with a warranty.. The 4880 you will find refubs with a warranty and brand new ones the differance is a few hundred bucks.. Be sure to call the dealer of choice for pricing!!
