LLVJ 18 Color Problem
« on: May 06, 2009, 11:30:38 am »

Hi,

I suddenly have a color problem with viewing LLVJ 18 - it used to play correctly.

Faces are blue - it's like the red and blue channels are swapped - greens seem to be ok.
I am running the latest quicktime (7.6 (472)) and have deinstalled and reinstalled it with no effect.  Previous LLVJs in low res seem to be ok.
System is Windows XP.

All other applications seem to be ok including PS CS3.

Any quick clues?  What have I done

Thanks,
Richard.

Let me know if VLC Media Player gives the same colour shift.
Links to VLC are in the FAQ

Thanks Chris,

I have proper colour with VLC Media Player.
It seems that my problem is limited to Quicktime.

Your help is much appreciated.
Richard.

There are many settings in a Windows environment that can adversely affect QuickTime.
Also occasionally, some other media player overrides QuickTime's settings and causes playback problems. Microsoft has never made QuickTime's functionality easy; in fact I suspect that the opposite is true by design.
VLC Player is far more robust.
