i dont think one was ever manufactured (that i have ever seen). but there a few around that are custom built- i have one.

i know there are manufactured hasselblad V housings, as well as pentax 67, and someone is even making an h1/2 housing somewhere at the moment.

but im in new zealand, so renting isnt really an option.

why not use a 1dsmk3 housing? i find, by the time you look through water, and that thick dome of perspex/glass, a lot of resolution is lost.

cheers paul

I got a Nikonos recently and have 28 and 35 lenses, also a strobe for little money, -but $100?- you have to check if it is a working Nikonos since there are a lot of water damaged ones on eBay...

I have done business with Underwater Photo Tech in Derry, NH for years.  If you are putting together a system, even a nikonos system, they may be worth a call.  tel: 603-432-1997  www.uwphoto.com.  They are super people who stand behind what they sell.  Cheers.  Mark

so you are ok. What you can do is to submerge the camera in a water container and check to see bubbles coming out of the camera which means that water is coming in..  the 28mm has more resolution than the 35mm lens, but is not amphibious, 28mm works only UW and 35mm in and out.

You can try this company:

http://subaquaticcamera.com/

I'm not sure if they will have a RZ housing, but they may be able to point you in the right direction.

I can't remember exactly where it was located, but when I was assisting, we had a job to shoot in a swimming pool so we scoured the country and finally found an RZ housing in the caribbean...  We ended up not shooting film(thank god), and rented a housing for a 1ds from a guy in the Florida Keys.  Unfortunately, I don't have that guy's info still...

this is an old reply to a post..

I've since bought a home made rz 67 housing. its very well constructed in perspex, and has about a 10 inch dome. i haven't used it yet, i was going to convert it for a 645 camera.

how does the aquatica housing work with that angled looking finder?

My u/w housing for the Hasselblad with 70mm film back still functions after over 40 years.

70mm gave circa 70 images, which is convenient underwater (better now with digital of course).

And 70 mm was standard for aerial reconnaisance so I could get the film processed quickly by the RAF.
Quite appropriate, given that the Hasselblad started as a photo-reconnaisance camera, and still looks like one.

John

PS  While on the subject of u/w cameras,  I also still have my CalypsoPhot (predecessor of the Nikonos); a brilliant invention with a great lens.

http://www.uwpmag.com/c5.html this is a classified ad which has more information about the aquatica housing. says only 50 were made, but it may be 35, I have no other source of information about it but just found that. I can't imagine practically using this rig, but hey, what do I know.
