DXO's lens corrections are tailored to each supported body/lens combination, which in some cases can be invaluable: For architecture photographers, photographers shooting art pieces for precise reproduction (though of course DxO does not solve the COLOR part), or for people like me that do stitched panoramas: Rigorous lens correction is mandatory for the stitching software, and the standard, linear corrections offered by LR or CR are not enough.

Another useful DxO feature I'm often using is the "DxO lighting", which is right on spot 4 times out of 5, and replaces numerous adjustments in LR/CR. 4 out of 5 is not good enough for full automation, but it's a real life saver when you have to adjust the source pictures for 10 panoramas in "client time"!
