Flash tool for websites
« on: April 10, 2009, 11:19:13 am »

Hi all,

I'd like a recommendation for a flash player for a website.
I'm an amateur so I'd like a freeware application.

I want it to be simple and elegant I don't need many fancy features just galleries and browse the photos inside each gallery.

Easy setup, installation, etc is also a good thing.

I have a host so I think I can make the "site" locally and then just upload I know HTML and related so that's not a problem.

Thanks a lot for any recommendations you can give me.

Luis

SimpleViewer. You can even make the site directly from LightRoom.

SlideShowPro - it's not freeware but not very expensive and hugely customisable. Versions available to work with Flash or LightRoom. If you do not have either of these it does start to become much more expensive though!

I have used Showit Web myself:
http://www.showitfast.com/#/showit-web/

It is really easy to use and it is a pretty nice interface. I think that Slideshow Pro may be the best for landscapes were this one I use seems more fit for weddings and portraits.

If you have Lightroom, check out the web gallery templates. Simple to create/edit galleries, and easy to navigate. Not much room for customizing though.

Try JAlbum (http://jalbum.net)

The software is free and they have a wide variety of skins to choose from.
