Howdy all. I'm interested in locations to photograph near Elizabethtown and Platsburg NY. Any landscapes or old barns, waterfalls and such.
Thanks,
Dan

Depends on what you like. I'm a sucker for old forts and such, so I like Fort Ticonderoga (reconstructed masonry/stone) and Crown Point (partly unearthed stone and earthworks) at the southern end of Lake Champlain. The less populated northern/eastern portion of Lake George has some great trails and vistas for landscape shots.

Now that you mention it I think I've seen some nice shots of the stonework inside Fort Ticonderoga.
Thanks, I may try that.
I really like old dilapidated old barns.

Well if you like waterfalls I can recommend split rock falls.

It's off of Rte 9 just south of New Russia.
