For the first part in Death Valley...is there narrative with that where Michael is explaining what he is attempting to create?

Yes, the video features a beardless MR (    worth the $9.95 just for a look IMHO ) giving a 'concept' voice-over to the footage & photographs.

It has the legendary Canon D30 review!  People still quote parts of that.  (Well, one part.)
