Both VisualHub and iSquint are available on SourceForge.net (here: http://transcoderredux.svn.sourceforge.net/ ). After closing Techspansion, Tyler Loch, the original developer gave the source code to the open software community. Names have changed to FilmRedux and PunyVideo. I don't know if there's any change in feature or GUI, though.

HandBrake (here) is perhaps a better choice now!

Edit: you'll need Xcode to compile the source code. I just tried and both applications compiled and launched without any problem.

If compiling is a problem, there is also a Mac-only product called Road Movie which costs $20 but gets good reviews for the encoding of video to the multitude of video formats now out...

Handbrake is good, but it still doesn't come close to lighting up your CPU cores like the multi threaded ffmpeg that VH had included with it

I'll have to give the new versions of the apps a try. Do they still have similar GUI components to them?
