I'm looking at the LaCie 320 LCD display and need advice on whether to purchase the bundle containing their blue eye pro colorimeter and calibration software.
I currently have and use an X-rite EyeOne Pro spectrophotometer and EyeOne Match 3 software to both calibrate displays and build CMYK printer profiles.
LaCie says that using software other than their's requires that you set the White Point by manually adjusting the RGB gain, something their tools do automatically. Which path is better? I'm not afraid to spend the money on another device, but don't want to if the results (display profiles) are no better.
Thanks.
