To all who feel concerned:

I wish to inform you here and officially that I will stop any post made with my "Sinar" signature.

My working contract with Sinar AG Switzerland has been terminated by Sinar yesterday, February 24th 2009.

I won't make any remark, nor give any information in public as for the reasons of the termination or others, being bound by confidentiality.

Starting now, I would like to ask those having specific Sinar questions, technical issues or other Sinar related requests, to contact either their respective distributor or dealer, or Sinar directly.

I would really like to thank all the members here, with whom I had the privilege to communicate and exchange information, sometimes to answer questions and help with issues. It has been my very pleasure, and never a "must" situation for me. And I would like to thank also those who have read my posts without participating.

I shall as per today open a new account here and continue my participation as an independent member.

Thanks again to all, for your so valuable support all the time, for those nice words sent to me, and for having tolerated my presence.

My special thanks go here and of course also to Michael Reichmann, for having welcomed me in his placed and for having offered me the possibility to participate.
These thanks are as well for his team.

All the best to all, with all my wishes of doing well in these difficult times ahead.
Best regards,
Thierry

Best wishes from me too, Thierry. Is your new account going to be anonymous, or will we all know it's the old Thierry?

Sorry to hear the news, Thierry.

You've been a tireless cheerleader for Sinar, and I know I wouldn't have had my all-too-brief, torrid love affair with my Hy6 if it were not for your help and guidance.

Thank you and all the best in your future endeavours.

Best regards,
Brad

Cher Thierry,

Thierry,

All the best for the future and thanks for the great support you have given and surely you will give from now on.

I think about my short experience with Sinar, it would have been really hard without your kind support directly via pm and indirectly reading the forum posts.

Good luck!

Kind regards

Roberto

Thierry

I never communicated with you for the simple reason that your level of equipment is way beyond the sensible level of somebody in my retired and nervous position.

I wish you the best of luck for the future and, hoping you won´t take offence, might I suggest you consider fields other than photography? I have long believed that the profession and, as a consequence, its tools are endangered species. Yes, plenty of wealthy amateurs still exist, but for how long will they continue to support a game where the price of entry is so high and the actual rewards so slim? The art of photography can be enjoyed at many levels of the game - I do not believe that enthusiasts will for ever allow themselves to be creamed... Leica provided a good enough level for the richer peacock as well as something good for the photographer; will the game support a large enough higher play?

Good luck, my man.

Hi Thierry
Both Gay & I are very surprised that this has happened, very sorry! I wish you the best in the future. You flew the flag for Sinar on this form & you made thousands of posts ( even on your weekends). Whats going on with Sinar? Sun Studios in Australia are no longer a Sinar agent a few weeks ago & now this??????

I am very sorry to hear this, especially as I wasn't even able (yet) to initiate a formal business relationship with you and Sinar, although I am still planning to do get a Sinar DB when funds allow.

I hope that you find something suitable to replace this job. I look forward to seeing more of your private work posted here?
