I think he is talking about the bundle of The Mamiya 645 Afd with the leaf 6 mp back. They recenly dropped the price to $6999.
It has 16bit capture.

I stumbled across the camera the other day in a a pro camera shop while disscussing the new 8mp Canon.  7 Grand is a ton for me but compared to the same price for the Canon 1ds, can one not resist the jump to medium format?  Autofocus was pathetic but for landscape or portrat whats the difference?  I am told it uses pretty much a full frame 35mm size sensor like the 1ds bit more pixels and greater bit depth.  I do not understand "greater bit depth" can someone clear this up?

I don't know what the poster is talking about. But Mamiya is expected to release (or preview) at Photokina a 645D all digital MF style camera with a series of IS lenses.
