Bridge can't see my camera files
« on: February 22, 2009, 07:00:09 pm »

Sorry if this has been asked and answered before, but I can't figure out how to search for the topic.  I have recently installed CS3 on a 64-bit Vista operating system.  When I connect my Canon XTi, Bridge sees the camera, but says there are no valid files.  Windows sees the files, will transfer them to the computer, at which point Bridge sees them and will work with them.  On a previous (XP) computer, this version of Bridge worked fine.  Any guesses as to where to go from here?

Thanks,
Alan

Use Canon's software to download the images, then Bridge will see them.

Have you tried using a card reader rather than connecting the camera to the computer? Should be faster this way, and the software should see the folders on the card like any other storage/drive.
