FS: Eyelike Precision M22 multishot back
« on: February 13, 2009, 06:37:39 am »

Selling this back as I rarely need big multishot files anymore, and have upgraded to a eMotion 75LV.

This back shoots tethered only and can shoot in 1, 4, or 16 shot mode. In 16 shot mode with an electronically controlled vibration free shutter like the Rollei or Schneider view camera shutters it can produce 88 megapixel files, 489MB in size (16 bit) These files are over 10,000 pixels wide on the long edge. In 4 shot mode the files are the same physical size as one shot mode (22mpx, 122MB 16-bit) but there is no color interpolation, hence 'true' color, and no chance of moirĂ©. The software is Eyelike Capture pro and works with the latest version of OS X, 10.5.6.  I have used it on both Intel and older Macs. The RAW files can then be opened in Sinar eXposure software and converted to DNGs if need be. Has a 10 metre firewire cable and adapters, foil stack spacers, winder cables and trigger cables for both a Contax 645 and a Hasselblad V (a common 'generic' mount for sliding backs on view cameras).

Asking €5000 or US$6500. Free UPS shipping to anywhere in the world.

I have just discovered that the fan in this back no longer works. It does not seem to affect the quality of the files produced - I have used it all day, for several days without the fan working and have seen NO increase at all in noise. But due to this discovery I will dramatically reduce the price of this back to US$4000. I have had a quote from Jenoptik to replace the fan for CHF 1252 which is approximately US$1000 but freight in both directions to Jena, Germany must also be paid. Seriously though, you could use the back in it's current state without a problem in my opinion, and it would be a bargain. ISO is fixed at 25 but is more like 50 according to my experience. The files are beautifully clean and free from noise.

Here are some pictures:
