Hey all.
I'm a serious amateur and want to upgrade to a flat, wide screen monitor. I've been reading about the Planar line of monitors and they seem to be good. I haven't seen anybody that owns one on this forum or others. the model listed below goes for 800.00 to $900.00 which is in my price range. Any opinions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help. They are popular among gamers.

I've no opinion of the monitor.  However, a panel search lists it as an IPS panel.  (26"WS LG.Display H-IPS (LM260WU1))  So it has that going for it, which is nice.

edit: removed a 'd'.

thanks for that info Darkpenquin. I'll be getting a new monitor sometime in March. I am surprised that apparently no one knows about Planar (or their just not commenting.) I believe that Planar monitors are the #1 monitor that heavy duty pc gamers use. I've seen games being played on them and the graphics are amazing (from a gaming point of view.)

Gamers tend to use TN panels.  Fast but not color accurate.  (6 bit panels.)
