Bridge CS3 displaying wrong resolution
« on: February 11, 2009, 11:02:50 pm »

I wonder if this happened to any of you:

I take a large JPEG with 300ppi resolution, downsample it in size and also in resolution (to 120 ppi for the web) using bicubic sharper.

Then I look at the thumbnail in Bridge CS3, and it displays, that the image I just resampled, has a resolution of 300ppi, no 120ppi.

When I open the image and check in the Image Size dialogue, it IS 120 ppi.

It doesn't happen all the time, but in about 40% the cases. If I do several images, the first one always displays wrong.

Is this a known bug?

There's another interesting bug.

I have an orginal TIFF, copied, and cropped.

Bridge does not display the crop, but the whole image, only distorted. It's wider than the original, stretched at the x-axis.

This is not happening with every image, but it's the second time it has happened within a month.
