The lighting has captured the modelling of the granite well, but I don't feel this works well as a whole.
I agree with Bill: this 'falls between two stools' in compositional terms, being neither a grand landscape nor a semi-abstract detail, but half and half. The composition is rather static: the big immovable lump of rock seemingly hindering our view of the farmland beyond.
If you want to emphasise the tor, then a good way is to get down low and find an angle where it's towering over you. "A good photographer has dirty knees" as they say!
On bright days like this, you will need to experiment with exposure to find a setting that doesn't overexpose the sky (or do exposure blending from several tripod shots, for example).
