To answer some of your questions:
I used CanCount on the last file I shot, it said the camera had 59999 actuations on it. (in german)
The data port was replaced by Canon last year, as well as it had been cleaned and checked by Canon at the same time.
It's a very nice camera, I just don't use it anymore.
