Hey Everyone,

Here is another image from northern California. We didn't have the time to trek up to the Redwoods National Park, but we took the time to go see the Armstrong Woods. This is a smaller park with a smaller grove of redwoods, but they were incredible and inspiring!!
Hope you like it!

Hi Joel,

Very nice picture. I lived in the Bay area for years and used to get up to the redwoods often but found that there is no photographic way to convey what they are. How do you photograph a tree hundreds of feet tall and with a girth that makes them a short hike to circumnavigate?

Joel,

Nice image!  I wonder if the white balance could be warmer?

Agreed - Lovely composition, but the white balance to me looks looks screwy and 'wrong' [if a white balance can actually be wrong!].

I would very much like to see this with a neutralised white balance, or warmer as the image is very well seen and composed and the current white balance detracts from the image to my eyes.

Thanks guys, I'll mess with the white balance and see what I come up with.

Thanks!
