Contax cameras made by Sony?
« on: April 12, 2005, 09:46:55 am »

Well, now it is official that Kyocera is discontinuing production of even the Contax 645 body at the end of the year, I also wonder in particular what if anything Zeiss will manage to do in order to produce a "vehicle" for its 645 AF lens system. Maybe that great utility player Cosina will come in; after all, I believe that they already work with Zeiss as the actual manufacturer of the new Zeiss Ikon rangefinder.

Looking at the trends, maybe there should be a Zeiss branded 645 integral digital body, like those that Mamiya and Pentax are working on?

How Zeiss will resolve this problem?
Cosina, Sony, Epson?
What company will manufacture Contax cameras in the future?
