Contax 220 vacuum back required?
« on: January 30, 2009, 12:07:28 pm »

So far I've been shooting 120 film on the Contax but am considering using some TXP 320ISO 220 film.

Can anyone who uses the Contax 645 advise how necessary the vacuum plate is when working wide open with the 80mm and 140mm lenses?

I never had any issue with film flatness and shot 220 90% of the time. I don't think the vacuum is necessary.
