Hi,

I just saw this on the PhotographyBlog.com webpage:

http://www.dinax.de/mirage/

Has anyone used it and care to comment? We're looking for a printing solution that allows banner printing greater than 90", works on a Mac, and can use custom generated ICC profiles. QImage would've been nice but is PC only software.

Thanks!

I've not used it, but I note that it's jolly expensive. If you're using Intel Macs, QImage runs very well indeed under Fusion (and, I imagine, under Parallels). Given the ability to free Windoze programs from their own Mac window (Unity), it's barely noticeable that it's not a Mac program. I've had no problems at all using it (trial version thus far, but I think I'm impressed enough to buy it) to print from my Mac Pro to an Epson 3800.

FWIW

They were offering this plug in in Europe with the purchase of 79+9900 printers.

I took a look at the interface but see nothing really that interesting especially for a price so elevated.

I run Windows boot Camp XP on my Mac Book Pro and Qimage which is extraordinary, and very inexpensive. I use it for processed files coming from my editing Mac (s).

Hence I found this plug in Mirage uninteresting compared to Qimage. If it were free , then fine.
