bridge memory
« on: January 14, 2009, 03:20:34 pm »

I get  some message saying that bridge cs4  is running low on memory.

Tried to purge the cache a few times

Restarted bridge holding ctrl+alt+shift, reset to defaults

Clicked export cache to folder

Moved the bridge cache to a freshly installed empty hd unclicked the export cache thing again

Restarted the computer (running 10.5.5 on 2 x 2.8GHz Quad-Core Xenon, GB RAM)

and so on

but it still pops this message:

anybody any idea?

many thanks!

There is an active thread on Adobe's Bridge forum that seems to be indicating that one cause may be a memory leak associated with use of the localized brush in ACR.  You might try noticing if you see the same correlation.  If true, hopefully Adobe will have an update to fix the problem before too long.

I've been having that problem since upgrading to 8gb of RAM and 64bit, worked fine till then. Glad it's not just me.

I'm usually fine just restarting Bridge.
