I have replaced my venerable Sony Artisan with an NEC LCD2690WUXiBKSV. I'd hate to see the Sony go to a recycler. Does anyone want to come and take it away from Redwood City, CA (SF Bay Area)? I am not willing to ship it anywhere, you have to come pick it up from my house.
The monitor has many thousands of hours use on it, but it still calibrates OK. Naturally the calibration puck and hood are included. It's in excellent external condition, in its original packaging. When first powered on, there is a small patch of purple discoloration in the top left corner; that has always been there and it goes away after a few minutes (which is why I didn't bother to get the monitor replaced).
I'd prefer to give this to someone who will make good use of it and cannot otherwise afford a high-end calibrated system (albeit one that is past its prime).
